Position Overview
Sharaf DG is seeking an experienced Category Manager to oversee retail electronics operations in Dubai. The role involves managing stock, manpower, sales performance, merchandising, and profitability while ensuring top-line growth and operational efficiency across the assigned category.

Job Details

• Lead and motivate store teams to achieve top-line sales targets and front-end margins
• Monitor and review store activities against annual operating plan (AOP) targets, focusing on productivity and efficiency improvements
• Ensure accurate display and merchandising of stock, including correct price tickets and planogram implementation
• Oversee stock flow from inventory to floor, ensuring timely availability and product security
• Control shrinkage through PI counts, variance reconciliation, and strong loss prevention measures
• Ensure smooth operations by managing sales and expenditure at the category level
• Track and analyze conversion rates at both departmental and individual staff levels
• Handle escalated customer complaints, returns, location transfers, and delivery-related queries
• Support promotional campaigns by ensuring product availability and highlighting shortfalls to area management
• Train and mentor team members, creating succession plans and fostering skill development
• Ensure staff grooming, discipline, and punctuality in alignment with company policies
• Submit timely reports on productivity, roster, and leave planning while adhering to operational checklists and policies
• Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with team members to drive performance improvement

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail electronics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or people management role
• Graduate degree preferred, with additional certifications in Retail Management advantageous
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage customer focus, business acumen, and team productivity
• Result-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve escalations and optimize operations
