Job Overview
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal product assortment, pricing, and supplier engagement to support the FMCG business growth. You will analyze inventory trends, manage vendor performance, and contribute to category profitability by identifying sourcing improvements and maintaining a balance between supply and demand.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with buyers to maintain stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations
• Analyze product data to develop sourcing and replenishment strategies aligned with business objectives
• Identify and engage with reliable, cost-effective suppliers to strengthen vendor partnerships
• Manage price negotiations and conduct benchmarking and cost scenario analyses
• Monitor product quality and address supplier-related issues proactively
• Prepare detailed reports on key sourcing metrics and propose cost-saving initiatives
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure expectations and deliverables are met

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in category or commercial roles within the retail sector, preferably FMCG
• Strong negotiation and networking abilities
• Proficiency in analyzing procurement data and developing category strategies
• Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and people management skills
