Category Buyer - Tools

to join our dynamic procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of products including

Power Tools, Hand Tools, Pneumatic Tools

, and

Safety Equipment

. This role requires a strong understanding of global sourcing, supplier management, and regional compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end procurement of tools and safety products across international and local suppliers Monitor market trends, demand patterns, and pricing strategies to optimize sourcing decisions Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark pricing and product performance against industry standards Ensure adherence to global certification and compliance standards (CE, UL, ANSI, ISO, etc.) Coordinate with logistics and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and consistent product quality Maintain accurate product, supplier, and pricing databases; optimize inventory and reorder levels Collaborate with product development teams to identify and source new product lines aligned with market trends

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical Engineering

,

Industrial Engineering

, or a related field (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum

2-3 years of international buying/procurement experience

, preferably within tools or industrial categories

Skills & Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of Power Tools, Hand Tools, Pneumatic Tools, and Safety Equipment Familiarity with international and regional product certification standards Strong negotiation, vendor development, and cost optimization skills Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
