Job Description

A Cashier is responsible for managing transactions at the point of sale, ensuring accuracy in handling cash, credit, and electronic payments. They serve as the face of the company, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, debit, and electronic payments accurately.
Scan and total items purchased, apply discounts or promotions when applicable.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Address customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints or direct them to supervisors.
Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy.
Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and transactions.
Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors about low stock or discrepancies.
Uphold safety and security measures to prevent theft or fraud.
