Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Cashier Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to handle bulk cash flow efficiently. The Cashier Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organization, working closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in cash handling and financial reporting.
Responsibilities: * Process daily cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all cash is accounted for.

  • Maintain financial records, including ledgers and journals, to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, for management review.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecast future financial trends to ensure the organization remains financially stable.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits as necessary.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on cash handling procedures and accounting practices.
Preferred Candidate: * Proven experience as a cashier or accountant, preferably in a retail or service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on cash management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CPA or ACCA, are a plus.
