Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all activities in our carpentry workshop. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in wood materials, hardware, AutoCAD, shop drawing review, production planning, and the creation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials). This role requires hands-on leadership and excellent communication skills, especially in Urdu, to manage a diverse production team.

Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Team Management,
- Develop detailed production plans and timelines for carpentry projects
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production targets
- Monitor daily workshop operations to ensure on-time delivery and quality control

Team management capability for 40 workers

Technical Oversight
- Review and interpret shop drawings using AutoCAD
- Supervise the creation of BOQ and BOM for each project
- Oversee material selection, cutting lists, and production sequences

Material & Hardware Knowledge
- Deep understanding of wood types, plywood, MDF, veneers, laminates, and finishes
- Strong knowledge of furniture/cabinet hardware, fittings, hinges, runners, etc.
- Ensure optimal use of raw materials with minimal wastage

Team Leadership
- Lead and manage carpentry team including foremen, joiners, and machine operators
- Conduct daily briefings and ensure smooth coordination between departments
- Monitor staff performance and promote a safe, efficient work environment

Quality Assurance
- Ensure production meets client specifications and internal quality standards
- Troubleshoot technical or quality-related issues promptly

Communication & Documentation
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials usage, and workforce allocation
- Communicate fluently in Urdu with the workshop staff for efficient coordination

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in carpentry production or woodworking management

Proficient in AutoCAD for interpreting and reviewing shop drawings

Strong skills in production scheduling and workflow optimization

Expertise in BOQ and BOM preparation

Leadership and team coordination abilities

Good understanding of Interior fit out.

Fluent in Urdu and English (spoken & written)

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Wood Technology, Interior Design, or related field

Familiarity with ERP or production tracking software

Experience in residential, commercial, or retail fit-out carpentry works
