Job Summary:

As a carpenter you are responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures such as furniture, cabinets, and buildings. You will work with various tools and materials to ensure that the finished products meets the necessary standards.

You must have a strong understanding of blueprint and construction drawings to accurately measure and cut materials. Additionally, you will also be required to perform maintenance and repairs on existing structures.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Measure, cut, and shape wood materials according to specifications. Build structures such as walls, floors, and roofs. Install doors, windows, and other fixtures. Inspect and repair damaged furniture or structures. Collaborate with other professionals, such as architects and engineers. Use various tools, including saws, drills, and sanders. Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure and hazard-free work environment. Maintain and clean tools and equipment. Complete projects within the given timeline and budget.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent experience. Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements
