The role requires precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with accuracy.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, wardrobes, moldings, skirting, panels, staircases, and other wood fixtures.
Perform sanding, polishing, varnishing, painting, and other finishing work.
Repair or refurbish existing wooden structures and furniture.
Operate woodworking tools, machinery, and hand tools safely.
Ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to project standards.
Follow workplace safety and housekeeping practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a finishing carpenter or joiner.
Proficiency in using woodworking tools, machinery, and finishing materials.
Strong knowledge of wood types, finishing techniques, and joinery methods.
Ability to read technical drawings and measure with precision.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and ability to work on-site as needed.
