Job Overview :
We are a Dubai-based cargo freight brokerage looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional to manage day-to-day cargo operations and customer coordination at our office. The role involves handling client communications, coordinating pickups, overseeing cargo correctness, and managing third-party freight partners to ensure smooth and timely cargo movement. This position requires strong coordination skills, operational discipline, and accountability, as the person will act as the central point of control between clients, pickup teams, and freight partners.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Client Handling & Communication o Attend and manage all inbound and outbound client calls professionally o Provide accurate cargo booking information, pricing updates, and schedules o Act as the single point of contact for clients from pickup to dispatch o Handle customer queries, concerns, and follow-ups in a timely manner o Maintain positive and long-term client relationships
2. Pickup & Cargo Coordination o Schedule and coordinate timely pickups with drivers and pickup teams o Ensure pickup timelines are followed and delays are proactively communicated o Confirm the correct items, quantities, and packaging before cargo acceptance o Cross-check cargo details against client booking information
3. Cargo Verification & Documentation o Ensure cargo details such as: o Item description o Quantity o Weight o Destination are correctly recorded o Coordinate basic documentation support (AWB details, cargo lists, etc.) o Flag and report discrepancies immediately
4. Third-Party Agent & Vendor Coordination o Coordinate with air cargo agents, shipping partners, and logistics vendors o Ensure third-party agents receive accurate instructions and documentation o Track cargo movement and maintain follow-ups until dispatch confirmation o Ensure operational SLAs and timelines are met
5. Internal Operations & Reporting o Maintain daily records of: o Client bookings o Pickups completed o Pending cargo o Dispatch updates o Share daily status updates with management o Assist in improving operational processes for efficiency and accuracy
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in cargo, freight, logistics, or courier operations (preferred) o Strong verbal communication skills in English (Hindi/Urdu/Tamil/Malayalam is an advantage) o Ability to handle multiple tasks and clients simultaneously o High attention to detail and accuracy o Basic computer skills (MS Excel, WhatsApp, email coordination) o Strong coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving ability o Familiarity with Dubai logistics environment is a plus
Preferred Candidate Profile :
Candidates currently in the UAE (Dubai preferred) o Experience in cargo booking desks, logistics offices, or freight forwarding companies o Calm under pressure and able to handle time-sensitive shipments
