The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an independent co-education institution of Higher Education that provides an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education. Job Purpose & Responsibilities




The Career Development Senior Officer plays a strategic role in enhancing the employability and professional growth of students and alumni by designing and delivering impactful career education, upskilling initiatives, and skill development programs. The role focuses on fostering strong relationships between the institution, employers, students, and alumni to facilitate career readiness, meaningful employment opportunities, and lifelong learning and career adaptability.




Minimum Qualification and Education




Bachelor's degree in business administration, mass communication, education, liberal arts or a related degree


Essential: good organization skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize. Strong English and Arabic language skills


Desirable: experience working with the public




Required Knowledge and Skills




Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency. Record of accomplishment of fostering collaboration and lasting partnerships. Superior organization skills and ability to complete projects. Projects in a timely manner. Knowledge of international higher education systems preferred American model. Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy, and working with individuals from different cultures.





Work Experience




Minimum 2 years post bachelor's degree professional work experience in an organization. Work experience in an organizational setting that is customer facing. A proven understanding of Higher Education. Demonstrable experience of working with groups of students and alumni and strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrable experience of working with employers.





Language proficiency required




Bilingual Fluency English and Arabic. English Fluency (reading, writing, speaking) is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with ease.
