We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide attentive support for an older gentleman in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior care, with a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for our client. Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences Administer medication safely following prescribed instructions Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Assist with mobility, including transferring and positioning to prevent falls Manage behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Support with light physical exercises or activities as recommended by healthcare professionals Drive the client when necessary for appointments or errands, ensuring safety at all times Monitor health status and report any concerns promptly to family or healthcare providers

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments Knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and first aid Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and behavioural management strategies Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards elderly individuals Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers Excellent communication skills and patience when engaging with clients and their families Valid driving licence for safe transportation purposes Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing needs of the client
