Description

The Citi UAE cards business is profitable and growing. The Cards Portfolio Manager is a critical role and is expected to:
Lead overall Portfolio Strategy
Maintain and extend financial leadership across all Cards key indicators
Manage the P&L and optimize performance of the UAE Cards Portfolio
Apply commercial acumen to enhance operating leverage and contribute to profit
Oversee and ensure new/existing portfolio initiatives are implemented in line with business goals
Provide thought leadership and tactical support in identifying areas of growth & efficiency

Responsibilities:
Refresh overall portfolio strategy to identify growth opportunities, with improved understanding of holistic customer profile (internal and external) and improved segmentation & actions
Define and implement new portfolio actions to drive interest-bearing balance, incremental fees/revenue lines and customer engagement
Support financial planning and portfolio performance tracking
Optimize per account revenue through portfolio actions including, but not limited to, activation, CLI, higher initial lines & dual cards
Develop & implement a Balance Transfer strategy to increase market share of revolving balances
Partner with Risk to identify & implement expansion opportunities for new and existing customers within risk appetite
Monitor Authorization rates and pursue opportunities for improvement or take corrective action in all relevant scenarios, identify room for change and initiate corrective action
Leverage COPS for portfolio campaigns and effective campaign tracking
Lead efforts on expense rationalization/allocations and oversee expense management process
Work closely with the analytics team to define key metrics / dashboards and ensure that they are timely delivered for decision management in Cards Portfolio and Products
Work with Technology on all required technology aspects of portfolio campaigns, including UAT, test preparation and execution
Support planning and execution of adhoc projects as required
Lead projects related to Central Bank, Regulation and Internal Audits
Support Controls & Risk management through MCA process coordination
Ensure compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements, procedures and controls
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, portfolio management and/or analytics
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Commercial acumen & ability to convert insight into real-life revenue generating solutions
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
In-depth knowledge of cards business processes (operations, risk, technology) preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree. Master's degree preferred
