Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Carbon Fiber Specialist

to join our team focused on automotive parts development. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in carbon fiber manufacturing, design, and application, specifically within the automotive industry. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with engineers and designers to ensure the seamless integration of carbon fiber into automotive parts for enhanced performance, durability, and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities

:

Material Expertise

: Develop a deep understanding of carbon fiber materials, including their properties, behavior under stress, and various manufacturing techniques.

Design & Development

: Work closely with automotive engineers and designers to integrate carbon fiber components into car parts. Provide recommendations on optimal material usage, part design, and production techniques.

Manufacturing Process Management

: Oversee the production of carbon fiber automotive components, including wet layup, pre-preg, and autoclave processes. Ensure that all processes comply with industry standards and meet quality specifications.

Quality Control

: Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols for carbon fiber parts. Monitor and inspect parts for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring that they meet safety and performance standards.

Testing & Validation

: Conduct mechanical testing of carbon fiber parts to validate performance, strength, and durability. Analyze results and make adjustments as necessary.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management

: Source and manage relationships with carbon fiber material suppliers. Ensure the availability of high-quality materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement

: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize carbon fiber production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve the overall quality of car parts.

Compliance

: Stay current on automotive industry regulations, carbon fiber standards, and new technological developments. Ensure all processes meet compliance and safety guidelines.

Collaboration

: Work cross-functionally with the R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth development and integration of carbon fiber parts into the final automotive product.

Qualifications

:

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

Experience

: At least 3-5 years of experience working with carbon fiber materials, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or performance parts industries.

Skills

: Expertise in carbon fiber materials, including fibers, resins, and matrix systems. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Qualities

: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Passion for automotive engineering and performance enhancement.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Previous experience working with carbon fiber in the automotive racing, high-performance, or luxury car sectors. Knowledge of carbon fiber composites testing and structural analysis.
