The Captain Waiter is responsible for leading a section of the dining area and ensuring excellent guest service in line with MADO Restaurant standards. This role involves supervising waiters, coordinating service flow, handling guest requests, and supporting management to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Guest Experience
Oversee service operations within the assigned section.
Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and minor complaints efficiently.
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
Team Supervision
Guide and support waiters and food runners during service.
Assign tables and duties within the section.
Assist in training new staff and coaching team members on service standards.
Monitor staff grooming, attendance, and performance.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the main point of contact between the kitchen and service team.
Ensure accurate communication of orders and special instructions.
Coordinate with the Head Waiter and Restaurant Manager on daily operations.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Follow company policies, SOPs, and UAE labor laws.
Ensure proper setup and closing procedures are followed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a Captain Waiter or Senior Waiter in an F&B environment.
Strong knowledge of restaurant service procedures.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
