Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Passionate about the Food & Beverage, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. As a Captain, you are responsible to provide professional and customer focused service to our Guests, ensuring their stay will become a memorable experience. Additionally, you need to assist the outlet manager to run the outlet smoothly.

What you will be doing:

Supervises the activities of the Waiters and Busboys in assigned area Perform all necessary tasks to service Food & Beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the Hotel Acquire in depth knowledge of the Food & Beverage menu of the assigned Outlet in order to assist and provide advice to Guests Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards Ensure that all Employees have received adequate training to perform their duties Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available Checks the mise en place prior and after the operation Coordinates with the Headwaiter or Outlet Manager to plan and conduct skills training constantly. Performs other duties assigned by his / her supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred Excellence in strategic leadership and team management Creative and passionate about food and customer service Able to work in a high-pressure environment

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
