The Technical Trainer is the Company\'s Training Representative who is responsible for training the rig crews on new Program revisions and rig equipment. The Technical Trainer reports to the Training Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide practical training as outlined in the class curriculum.
Conduct online training classes when required.
conduct CAMS Records and Assessments of rig crews
Regularly update classroom and field material to reflect rapid changes in the industry.
ensuring a first-class working relationship and communication with the contracting company personnel
Maximize rig performance by ensuring all personnel is competent to perform assigned tasks through hands-on training and observation.
Provide documentation to include completed competencies to the District Trainer for uploading into personnel training records.
Develop a positive working relationship with rig crews to promote a climate conducive for training.
Demonstrate troubleshooting techniques to reduce downtime
Exercise good cost control practices.
Submit weekly time sheet.
Submit travel expenses monthly as required
Create documents to enhance the safe use of equipment and software to include work instructions, competencies and quick reference guides.
Other duties as required by the Training Supervisor
Qualifications
MInimum qualifications / SKILLS
Attention span to stay alert and attentive for up to 12 hour tour.
Able to work 35 days on and 35 days off, including holidays, weekends and or days and nights.
Must possess strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office computer systems
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management via verbal, written or e-mail methods
Able to work well with others while working in a close environment for extended periods of time.
Must have a competent knowledge level of rig equipment and company procedures
General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations/requirements
Ability to wear respiratory protective devices
Maintain compliance as outlined in training matrix.
Excellent inter-personal skills.
First Aid and CPR trained
Must wear company approved and required PPE for the task being performed
.Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Make important judgment decisions that affect the safety of the crew during training
Must have knowledge of emergency shut-in procedures and be able to respond to any emergency efficiently although in the training capacity, the trainer would be deemed non-essential.
High school diploma or recognized equivalent
AC and/or SCR Rig experience
preferred qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
Minimum of 4 years experience as technician or 3 years of experience as a Technical Trainer or equivalent for another drilling company
