Job Description

Job Purpose



The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management and smooth operation of company-provided staff accommodation (labor camp). This includes maintaining a safe, hygienic, secure, and well-disciplined environment in compliance with UAE laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations. The role is critical in ensuring the well-being of employees residing at the camp and optimizing facility standards to meet operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Camp Operations & Administration



Oversee day-to-day operations of the accommodation facility (labor camp). Monitor occupancy levels and ensure allocation of rooms as per company policy. Maintain accurate records of resident employees and update changes in occupancy. Ensure the timely maintenance of electrical, plumbing, AC, and building services through coordination with maintenance teams. Implement and monitor housekeeping schedules for hygiene and cleanliness. Enforce camp rules and regulations and maintain discipline at all times.

2. Health, Safety & Security



Conduct daily inspections to identify potential health or safety hazards and take immediate corrective actions. Coordinate with security teams to ensure the safety of residents and property. Ensure compliance with fire safety protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, and municipality requirements. Act as the primary point of contact in emergency situations and liaise with emergency services when required.

3. People Management & Employee Welfare



Provide support and address grievances of camp residents in a timely and professional manner. Conduct regular meetings with residents to ensure open communication channels. Promote a positive and inclusive community environment within the camp. Ensure fair distribution of utilities, maintenance schedules, and facility use.

4. Reporting & Documentation



Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on camp status, occupancy, maintenance, and incidents. Maintain logs of maintenance activities and security incidents. Manage inventories of camp supplies, bedding, and furniture.

5. Compliance & Audit Readiness



Ensure the camp meets UAE labor laws, DEWA, DCD, and Municipality standards. Assist internal and external auditors in inspecting the camp facilities.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong leadership and communication skills. High level of organizational and administrative abilities. Basic technical knowledge of facility maintenance and repairs. Fluent in English (Hindi or Tagalog is a plus). Conflict resolution and people management skills. High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity. Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping.

Qualifications & Experience



Minimum High School Diploma; Degree/Diploma in Facilities Management or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in managing labor/staff accommodation in UAE or GCC. Familiarity with UAE labor regulations and municipality requirements for staff housing. Valid UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).

Working Conditions



Based at site staff accommodation (on-site presence is mandatory). On-call availability for emergencies. Fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.

Performance Metrics



Resident satisfaction & complaint resolution rate. Cleanliness and maintenance audit scores. Compliance with HSE and legal standards. Efficiency of space and resource utilization.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
