Job Description

To support its growth, the company is seeking a

Calculation Engineer

to join its multidisciplinary technical team. Reporting to the Engineering Department, you will be responsible for delivering advanced mechanical and structural analyses for complex industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis of steel frameworks and modular assemblies


Conduct mechanical assessments of piping systems and pressure vessels


Carry out flow analysis, pressure drop evaluations, and pump sizing


Design and verify welded and bolted steel connections using analytical methods


Perform lifting studies and structural integrity checks for skids and heavy equipment


Write technical calculation notes and reports in compliance with international standards and classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS)


Review and validate technical drawings and fabrication documents


Provide engineering support throughout all project phases: feasibility, procurement, and site installation

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Naval Architecture)

Experience:

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in structural design, ideally within the

offshore oil & gas

or heavy industry sector

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with structural analysis software such as

STAAD Pro

(required)


Solid understanding of international standards (e.g.,

AISC, API, ASME

) and classification rules (e.g.,

DNV, ABS, NORSOK

)


Strong background in steel fabrication and material selection


Experience with

High Pressure (HP) piping

design (5k, 10k, 15k psi) is a significant plus


Familiarity with

Mathcad

and

Excel

for detailed connection design


Knowledge of

FEA tools

(e.g., ANSYS, FEMAP) is an advantage


Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD or similar software)

Languages:

Strong command of technical English (spoken and written)
