The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a smooth payment process in the outlet. A cashier is expected to manage POS operations, maintain cash handling standards, assist with reporting, and provide excellent customer service while supporting overall front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction & Cash Handling
Operate POS systems accurately for customer billing and payments.
Handle cash, credit cards, vouchers, and digital payments with accuracy.
Ensure proper cash float management, balancing, and daily reconciliation.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required.
Customer Service
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Resolve billing or transaction-related queries efficiently.
Coordinate with servers and F&B staff to ensure smooth order processing.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare daily sales reports and submit to the supervisor/manager.
Maintain accurate records of transactions, discounts, and voids.
Follow company policies regarding cash security and reporting discrepancies.
Operations Support
Assist in monitoring stock of cash desk materials (receipts, rolls, etc.).
Support with basic administrative duties for the outlet.
Ensure workstation cleanliness and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements:
Diploma in Hospitality / Business Administration or related field preferred.
Minimum
2-3 years of cashiering experience
in a restaurant, cafe, or F&B outlet.
Strong knowledge of POS systems and payment methods.
Basic accounting and reconciliation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
