Duties And Responsibilities:

CADD operator will be responsible for understanding Roads/Highways design principles, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. This role involves creating detailed 2D design drawings of Roads/Highways, including plans, Profiles, cross sections, grading plans, construction drawings, etc., CAD Technicians perform basic to moderately difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques. Under the general direction of a higher-level Designer, the incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of general arrangements, layout plans, profiles, cross sections, structure details, flow sheets, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. CADD operators closely work with the design engineers in developing and finalizing design drawings of assigned projects. Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation. Check the accuracy of layouts and drawings and make adjustments as necessary. File and maintain drawings to ensure proper back-up. Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Become familiar with various standards and codes for developing drawings. Understand how to read 2D and 3D designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings. Developing accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models of Roads using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Able to comply with CAD standards and ISO 19650 Workflow and Approval Process. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Experience And Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years of design and modeling experience. Well versed with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Navis Works and ProjectWise / ACC Navigator. Ability to model roads and highways design features in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet project deadlines. Effectively communicate with project teams and internal stakeholders.
