Duties and Responsibilities:

The 3D Modeler will be responsible for preparing 2D designs and 3D models for roads and highways designs, using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk REVIT software. This role requires the need to understand road and highway industry standards and project specifications to code these parameters within AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. The 3D Modeler needs to perform basic to moderately difficult modelling and drafting assignments requiring a good working knowledge of modelling and drafting standards, practices and techniques. Under the general guidance of a higher-level Engineer or Designer, the 3D Modeler needs to take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalize them into working drawings and models. The 3D Modeler must be able to produce professional drawings and models for Roads/Highways designs. Closely work with the design engineers in developing and finalizing design drawings and 3D Models of assigned projects. Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation. Check the accuracy of layouts and drawings and make adjustments as necessary. Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings and models consisting of layout plans, profiles, cross sections, structure details, assemblies, and Multiview blocks etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Become familiar with various standards and codes for developing drawings. Developing accurate and detailed 3D models of Highway Discipline using Civil 3D and REVIT software. Updating 3D models as per design changes. Performing clash analysis and Generating clash reports. Good knowledge and understanding of Roads/Highway drawings. Able to comply with CAD standards and ISO 19650 Workflow and Approval Process. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Experience And Qualifications:

Associate's or equivalent technical degree/diploma in engineering or related field, or equivalent technical certification from an accredited institution. A minimum of 7 years' working experience in Roads & Highways related projects. Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and Navisworks. Experienced user of ProjectWise/ACC Navigator and good knowledge in drawing/document management procedures. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet project deadlines. Able to work with minimum supervision as well as being a self-starter. Effectively communicate with project teams and internal stakeholders.
