Job description
Collaborate with MEP engineers and project managers to understand project specifications, requirements, and design objectives.
Create detailed MEP drawings, plans, schematics, and diagrams using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.Prepare and update MEP drawings for systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and lighting
Ensure that MEP drawings comply with local regulations, codes, and standards in UAE.Perform calculations and take-offs related to MEP systems, including quantities of materials and equipment.
Assist in the coordination and integration of MEP designs with architectural and structural plans.Revise and update drawings as needed to reflect design changes and project modifications.
Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and document control systems.Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain technical information and specifications.
Participate in site visits and inspections to verify MEP installations and compliance with drawings.Contribute to value engineering efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize MEP designs.
Stay informed about emerging MEP design trends, technologies, and best practices in the construction industry in Dubai.Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in the construction or contracting industry.
Proficiency in MEP drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD tools.Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems and their components.
Attention to detail and precision in creating drawings.Effective communication and teamwork skills .
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience with large-scale, complex construction projects
