Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Business Support Analyst with 1-2 years of experience to support our buying function through sales reporting, performance analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and streamline processes.

- Sales Reporting: Develop, maintain, and distribute accurate sales reports and dashboards to track performance metrics and trends for the buying function.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, vendor performance, and purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and revenue growth.
- Operational Efficiency: Support the optimization of buying processes by identifying bottlenecks, recommending solutions, and implementing data-driven strategies.
- Data Management: Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability for reporting and analysis.
- Excel-Based Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) to create dynamic reports and models to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with procurement, sales, and finance teams to understand business needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting as requested by management to address specific business questions or challenges.
- Process Documentation: Document workflows, analytical methodologies, and reporting processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably in business analysis, operations, procurement, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, macros, etc.).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is preferred but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or retail industries.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
