About the Role
Are you a dynamic sales leader with a genuine passion for pets? We are a rapidly growing pet food brand looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Manager to spearhead our operations in Dubai. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the market presence of a beloved brand, lead a talented team, and drive significant business growth in a thriving industry.
You will be the key driver behind our sales strategy, responsible for expanding our footprint across both Modern Trade and General Trade channels while strengthening our relationships with key partners in the pet community.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Revenue, and Business Growth:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets, market share, and profitability goals.
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from driving primary sales to ensuring efficient and timely collections (Accounts Receivable management).
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market reach and brand presence.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of sales professionals.
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Implement effective training programs to enhance the team's product knowledge and sales capabilities.
Trade Marketing and Channel Management:
  • Drive growth and penetration in key accounts within Modern Trade (e.g., hypermarkets, large retail chains).
  • Develop and manage the Lower Trade/General Trade network, including independent pet shops and distributors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key distributors, retailers, and industry stakeholders.
Strategy and Market Analysis:
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Plan and execute impactful promotional campaigns, in-store visibility initiatives (merchandising), and new product launches.
  • Manage the trade marketing budget effectively to maximize return on investment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of proven sales experience within the FMCG sector, with a strong preference for candidates from the Pet Food or Pet Care industry.
  • Demonstrated success in a team leadership role, with a track record of building, coaching, and inspiring sales teams to achieve targets.
  • Extensive experience and a proven track record in managing Modern Trade key accounts and distributors.
  • A relationship-driven professional with excellent negotiation and influencer skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using sales data to drive strategy.
