Role Summary:

The
Business Operations Excellence
function within Janssen is a key and trusted business partner to our internal teams by providing actionable, customer-focused insights that lead to a competitive advantage.

The Head of Business Operations Excellence is a part of the Janssen GCC Leadership Team and has a key role in providing actionable strategic recommendations, derived from integrating insights from Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Business Performance, Insights, and Analytics

Leads external market forecasting and growth (overall and per therapeutic areas for GCC countries).

Generates key business performance analytics and insights, in close collaboration with the Center of Excellence team.

Complement Center of Excellence findings related to GCC and drive key recommendations and action plans.

Coordinate Quarterly Therapeutic Areas Reviews in close collaboration with the Center of Excellence team and Marketing team.

2. Field

Force

Sizing:

Support the internal stakeholder in the sizing and geographical allocation of the Field Force in the territory by providing specific analysis and simulations, using dedicated tools and programs.

Support the internal stakeholder in developing projects and methodologies to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales force.

3. Sales Force Target setting, Performance Management and Incentive Systems

Along with the Commercial Board, develop targets for commercial teams and track underlying demand including volume evolution, patient recruitment and key accounts consumption.

Coordinate the process of defining the Field Force incentive system and supervise the process of calculating periodic incentives, ensuring the production and accuracy of the data needed

4. Demand Planning:

Lead In-Market Sales Consolidation monthly and project onto easy-to-read dashboards.

Along with Commercial Board, develop volume rolling forecast for key products in all countries and sectors.

Forecast inventory, tenders and discounts per country and key brands monthly.

Coordinate and oversee the latest thinking and Integrated Business Planning process in close collaboration with Marketing & Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance Teams.

Coordinate and oversee In-Market Sales to Net-Trade Sales reconciliation in close collaboration with Marketing & Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance Teams.

5. Planning cycles:

Lead and coordinate the financial planning submissions including Long Range Financial Plan (LRFP) and Financial Business Plan (FBP), ensuring timely and accurate inputs from Commercial, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other involved stakeholders.

6. Distributor Management:

Lead the close management of distributors across GCC countries throughout distributor lifecycle.

Track Key Performance Indicators for distributors and conduct regular distributor performance reviews and analysis.

Oversee distributor accounts and inventory analysis, penalty and expiry analysis, and ensure tight compliance controls.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field: Business, Economics or Science-related field.

8+ years of experience in a Commercial role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.

Proven professional experience in Business Excellence, with advanced skills in analysis and interpretation of sales and market data.

3+ years in a managerial role in strategic marketing or sales is preferential.

Knowledge of the reference regulations of the conduct of market research in the pharmaceutical field.

Knowledge of procedures, policies and regulations concerning pharmacovigilance and healthcare compliance.

Advanced knowledge of the GCC environment including distributor model, tender environment and market dynamics.

Strong leadership skills, able to work on a matrix organization.

Strong Business & Financial acumen.

Strong people management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Project Management skills.

Excellent command of the English language
