We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to lead growth initiatives for our
slitting services
segment. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and promoting our metal coil slitting capabilities to manufacturers, fabricators, and resellers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the metal processing industry, particularly slitting and cutting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Development:
Identify and target new markets and customer segments requiring slitting services.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to position our services effectively.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through cold calls, referrals, and industry networks.
Client Engagement:
Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand their slitting needs and provide technical and commercial proposals.
Act as the main point of contact for slitting service inquiries, quotations, and contract negotiations.
Prepare and deliver customized presentations highlighting our slitting capabilities and value proposition.
Sales Growth:
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for slitting services.
Collaborate with the production and operations teams to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, and activity reports.
Relationship Management:
Build long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
Gather feedback and relay customer insights to improve service offerings.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with logistics, quality control, and production teams to align customer expectations with internal capacity.
Assist in pricing strategy development based on market trends and cost analysis.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the steel or metal processing industry.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Experience working with GI/stainless steel/aluminum slitting.
Existing network in the metal fabrication or OEM industry.
Technical knowledge to discuss specs with clients
