Job description Our Business Development Manager will have the following main functions, responsibilities & accountabilities: Key Result Area 1: New market development 1. Developing business pipeline and growth strategies. 2. Conduct market research and identify key commercial and industrial customers for distributed solar Leasing projects, solar hybrid projects and energy efficiency systems within the UAE/Gulf market. 3. Build relevant relationships with customers, EPCs, commercial partners, service providers, regulators, and financial institutions. 4. Drive the creation of leads to meet ME\xe2\x80\x99s sales goals in the Solar, Hybrid & Energy Efficiency Leasing, and Energy Purchase market Key Result Area 2: Sales Create and maintain a strong pipeline based on the business plan and be responsible for the achievement of the Country target per annum. Nurture and retain relationships with key customer accounts and contractors - identify and map business strengths and customer needs. Target and contact key decision-makers and develop positive relationships to secure new project opportunities, sales volumes, and market share. Negotiate, develop and remove barriers, enable the successful progression of your pipeline to close agreements with customers and hand them over to the Project Manager. Requirement Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales in UAE/ Gulf Region and/or abroad. Have prior knowledge of long-term contractual agreements in Energy Purchase or leasing (BOT/BLT/PPA). Demonstrable results in Business Development; especially in lead generation and relationship building. Excellent negotiating skills. A strong personal and professional network across UAE/Gulf. Professional, presentable, and confident manner in dealing in person or on the phone with customers and prospects. Strong communication skills - spoken, written, and electronic; English is a must. Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization. Attention to detail is essential along with a very organized approach. Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients, and industry trends. Work independently with a sense of responsibility and accountability. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business Management/ Administration or Engineering Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree holders would be preferred but not necessary.
