Vista Projects has established a new subsidiary in Oman in partnership with a prominent Omani company to serve the GCC energy sectors from its new base in Oman. We are hiring a focused, driven, confident, and experienced business development manager to be stationed permanently in Muscat Oman to perform the business development, marketing, and sales activities to facilitate our anticipated rapid growth in the area. What You Would Do in This Role
The Business Development Manager contributes to the growth of Vista\xe2\x80\x99s success. Duties include:
Determining target markets and potential clients within those markets
Lead the efforts to complete the pre-qualifications required by the client
Using and maintaining Vista Customer Relations Management System for the specific market
Looking for, evaluating, assessing, and reporting on any new or developing opportunities
Identifying and approaching potential clients and promoting Vista\xe2\x80\x99s services
Conducting meetings, presentations, lunches, or other social outings to build relationships with potential clients
Ensuring Vista is put on the bid list of potential client projects or is identified as a preferred supplier of engineering services
Preparing professional, competitive proposals and information packages upon receipt of RFPs when requested
Conducting lessons-learned sessions with members of the proposal team for both won and lost bids
Planning and prioritizing personal sales activities and client contacts toward achieving agreed business goals and revenue targets
Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and client surveys
Understanding the competition for each proposal or shortlisting of bids
Identifying opportunities (via in-depth regional market knowledge) to expand the range of services
Creating and facilitating a survey on client satisfaction, or facilitating client interviews by a third-party service provider to gauge client satisfaction and areas of improvement
Providing customer feedback to the management team for the QMS quarterly Review
Relying on experience, networking, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Supporting ad-hoc strategic initiatives
Performing other duties as requested
Requirements
Must have a post-graduate degree in engineering
Must have relevant experience in business development and/or B2B sales
Must have relative experience in engineering and project management services
Very strong communication skills (the role involves writing case studies, proposals, and press releases)
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Master of Business Administration (MBA) (focus on business/marketing strategy or a related field)
Bilingual (the Arabic language is preferred)
Experience in Oman oil and gas sector
At least five years in business development or sales roles with a focus on oil and gas/energy / industrial capital projects
