A multinational pharmaceutical company is actively recruiting a Business Development Manager – MENA to be based in Dubai, UAE. Key aspects of the role include:
Responsible for in-licensing activities to expand product portfolio and to support the company’s growth objectives
Supporting the BD team in the evaluation of projects in other geographies, primarily covering the needs of the MENA markets
Analyzing market data and forecasting the product demand across multiple MENA markets
Negotiating agreements with external partners on BD projects
Supporting the Senior BD Manager in building a vision on the evolution of the company’s product portfolio
Coordinating cross-functional collaboration and identifying sources of risk / delay and propose mitigating actions
Ensuring the timely execution and delivery of BD projects
Acting as a key link between the BD function and all other relevant departments
Acting as an integral part of the Corporate Development Team, travelling to various annual events in Europe and MENA
Identifying areas of improvement to develop and maintain strong partnerships
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
Advanced Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or equivalent with a strong scientific background in pharmaceutical molecules is a pre-requisite
3 – 5 years of working experience as Business Development Manager in the Pharmaceutical industry in the MENA region (Jordan, Iraq, UAE and KSA mainly)
Exposure to go-to-market activities, regulatory affairs and bodies in MENA markets or related functions is a plus.
Willing to travel across the MENA region and to Europe: up to 50% of time
Must be fluent in Arabic Language (both written and verbal)
Excellent spoken and written English
Strategic thinker, self-starter, independent and hands on
Strongly familiar with review of legal documents (Licensing Agreements)
Ability to quickly adapt to market changes
