ChampionX has an immediate need for a Business Development Manager supporting the Middle East & Africa Region, the role can be based in any location in EMEA.

What You Will Do:

Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents.

Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by "doing it right the first time" and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.

Assist in the preparation of Invitation to Tender (ITT) responses, working with sales team and tender management team to define strategy and develop high quality responses.

Align between RD&E, Technical and Supply Chain to make sure that the proposal is fit for customer's need and in line with their key business drivers.

Use all tools available & align with Supply Chain to make sure that we're using the most common raw materials for the region so ChampionX can make the best use of its own resources.

Helping to develop action plans to bridge sales/margin gaps in bid proposals.

Demonstrate flexibility by being able to adapt to constant shift in priorities due to the nature of the business and competitive environment.

Active collaboration and knowledge sharing with other personnel and functions within ChampionX by exchanging information, potential new business opportunities, chemical applications and best practices, by regularly leveraging on available knowledge sharing platforms, such as CORE.

Assist the Sales Team (as required) in renewing existing contract or wining new contracts with customers.

Liaise with Leadership, Legal & Compliance as required.

Be able to identify threats to customer drivers (HSSE, reliability, profitability, turn around success and product quality) and provide solutions (mechanical, operational, chemistry, technology).

Work with wider Business Development Team to maximize effectiveness of corporate strategies for larger customer targets.

Minimum Education & Qualification:

7 - 10 years of successful technical sales experience in oilfield prod. chemicals or similar role.

Demonstrate critical thinking ability driven by strong tech. background and business acumen.

Demonstratable strong ethics, effective time management, ability to multitask, adaptability, autonomy and self-motivation.

Ability to build and maintain successful relationships across multiple levels of the organization.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working from home anywhere in EMEA Region but willing to travel up to 25% of their time.

Preferred Experience:

CAPEX Experience.

Total System Analysis (TSA) Experience.
