Job Purpose

Support the business to control and manage all aspects of the Corporate department operational activities; develop business plans; oversee planning and implementation of business plan; lead the implementation of new operational initiatives, resource allocation, organisation structure, and leadership towards achieving the company's strategy, growth, and profit objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the Corporate & MICE business development goals & strategies, in agreement with the General Manager to achieve the short and long-term revenue growth strateg
  • Identify potential new Corporate & MICE clients through market research and manage client account and relationships.
  • Support Leisure Business Development team, by influencing and planning corporate travel clinics and roadshows, to help build and grow Corporate Leisure business
  • Direct, manage and monitor the activities of Sales Executives to appraise and assess monthly targets and performance. Ensure that all corporate companies are appropriately prioritised, regularly visited and professionally handled by the sales and operations team, to increase ARTs revenue and market share.
  • Conduct market research on competitor's activities within the territory on pricing, promotional and other commercial initiatives and give feedback/recommendations to senior management
  • Support the implementation of policies covering all areas of operational activities, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a quality and cost-effective service to customers
  • Support the preparation of the functional budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
  • Ensure that all relevant department reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet business requirements, policies and standards
  • Support the business operationally, achieving financial targets, and delivering a customer focused service in accordance with the client's requirements and international standards
  • Deal with escalated operational issues to ensure all queries are handled as efficiently as possible
  • Leadership responsibilities to ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of function - setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved.
Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in a business discipline
Experience
  • At least 8 years in airline / travel industry involving Corporate Sales Management, of which a minimum of 4 years in managing MICE Business Development & Operations
Knowledge & Skills
  • Must have knowledge and experience in travel agency product pricing, contract negotiation, IATA regulations, travel agency / airline procedures, distribution systems and accounting practices
  • Must possess excellent people management skills and techniques, with highly effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
