  • This position is responsible for securing new revenue within the Geographical scope area, special focus on Middle east and India\xe2\x80\x99s existing portfolio of Fertilisers clients as well as seeking out new clients. The role is expected to have a focus on hunting new business.
  • Ensuring that all activities within own area of responsibility are fulfilled in compliance with the rules, laws, and procedures provided by the Company\'s head office in various manuals (Operating Procedures)
  • Liaise with the line Managers to ensure the establishment of the necessary systems to support the effective implementation and management of quality control activities across the inspections.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in consultation with reporting manager.
  • Responsible for reaching monthly/yearly targets of sales, revenue, and profitability of fertilisers business.
  • Interaction with other depts. for smooth operation. All queries and complaints are answered professionally within the set time limit.
  • Liaising with clients. Attending meetings as and when required with Suppliers/Agents with professional service rendered.
  • Support the Commercial Business in Fertilizers and related commodities.
  • Active participation in the Area\xe2\x80\x99s (South Asia and Middle East) strategy-setting exercises, through feedback guided by an intimate knowledge of the Area\xe2\x80\x99s market condition and clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.
  • Assist in presenting details for the Area\xe2\x80\x99s (South Asia and Middle East) 3YP and yearly budgets.
  • Directly accountable for compliance with 3YP and yearly budgets and financial targets in the Area of the Fertilizer Market.
  • Implements the agreed regional strategy by, inter alia, maximizing synergies, competencies transfers and cross-sales in the Area.
  • Develops the Group\xe2\x80\x99s business in the Area (South Asia and Middle East) by directing product level the generation of sales of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s services in accordance with the Group\xe2\x80\x99s strategy, and, where appropriate, country-specific services.
  • Be part of the Global marketing platform and help in developing other affiliates.
  • Encourages and guides Regional-level preparation and presentation of business cases for new initiatives in Fertilizers such as investments, alliances, acquisitions, etc.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Group procedures.
  • Managing relations with potential customers and with local and regional institutions.
  • Promoting services/products in coordination with the product development team.
  • Managing the tenders\xe2\x80\x99 preparation and subsequent presentations and negotiations.
  • Preparing financial feasibility studies or financial offers in collaboration with the Financial Analyst.
  • Overseeing the start-up and implementation phases of new contracts.
  • Supporting client relations during the implementation phase and facilitating relationships with Area.
  • Monitoring the market feedback expressed by the client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and defining the scope of news services related to the core commercial business.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in any field with a minimum of 8 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years of experience in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) Industry or from the Trading / Purchasing Companies / Producers / Consumers of Commodity Fertilizers or any other related commodities with knowledge of role of TIC companies in the supply chain.
  • Good understanding of the Fertilizer market and various stake holders Governmental and private corporates, trading houses engaged in importing Fertilizers into India.
  • Knowledge about the Indian tendering system for procuring Fertilizers and role of TIC company in the value supply chain.
  • Knowledge and market information on the global agriculture market trade flows, especially grains, cereals, pulses, cotton, sugar, rice, veg oils etc and supply chain in UAE and in general the GCC region.
  • Established contacts with the bulk Agri commodity producing & trading clientele.
  • MBA Degree in Sales / Marketing will be added advantage.
  • Good understanding of financial, corporate, and legal issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of the various Inspection Company products and services
  • MS Office tools: Internet Explorer, MS Exchange (fundamentals), Excel (enter data, create spreadsheets, simple formulas), Word (create basic documents, use templates)
  • Exhibit communication skills [Oral & Written]
  • Has strong financial and cost-effectiveness skills.
  • Participate in other/additional administrative tasks when requested by the Management.
  • Maintain Clientele database.
  • Provide support as required, for the efficient functioning of a team-oriented office environment.
  • Achieve Company & Personal objectives during the year.
  • Attend internal training on varied subjects as and when required/deputed by the Management. Attend dept. meetings, provide suggestions for a strong team; enhance capacity building with the view to improving further.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to resolve conflicts.
