Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Commercial Business Development Manager
to lead and expand our
petrochemical and industrial raw materials business
across
Morocco.
The ideal candidate will be
based overseas
and responsible for developing the market, building strong customer relationships, and driving sustainable growth. This position requires
technical knowledge of chemical raw materials
, a strong understanding of
end-user applications
, and experience in
international trading and logistics regulations
.
Key Responsibilities:
Market & Business Development
Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across Morocco and Algeria.
Conduct in-depth market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and potential customers.
Develop and execute regional business strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Customer & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, distributors, and partners across key industry segments.
Understand customer requirements and propose suitable chemical raw material solutions.
Manage key accounts, ensuring excellent service and long-term business partnerships.
Sales & Commercial Activities
Drive sales of industrial chemicals and solvents across B2B markets.
Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, contracts, and tenders in line with company objectives.
Monitor sales pipelines, forecast demand, and ensure consistent revenue growth.
Technical & Product Expertise
Apply technical knowledge of petrochemical raw materials and their end-user applications.
Provide product recommendations and application support to customers in industries such as coatings, inks, packaging, lubricants, detergents, and cosmetics.
Collaborate with technical and supply chain teams to ensure product suitability and compliance.
Operations, Logistics & Compliance
Coordinate shipments, logistics, and documentation in line with international trade regulations.
Ensure compliance with local laws, customs procedures, and environmental standards in Morocco
Prepare periodic reports on market trends, competitor activities, and business performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Chemical Engineering
,
Industrial Chemistry
, or related field.
MBA in Marketing
or
Master's in International Business
preferred.
Experience:
Minimum
5-10 years
in
sales, marketing, or business development
of
chemical raw materials or solvents
.
Proven track record in developing and managing
industrial B2B markets
across
North Africa
or similar regions.
Strong technical understanding of chemical applications in:
Paints, Coatings, and Inks
Flexible Packaging
Resins and Adhesives
Detergents and Soaps
Cosmetics and Perfumes
Oilfield Chemicals
Agrochemicals and Lubricants
Key Competencies:
Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of petrochemical trading, supply chain operations, and market dynamics.
Ability to work independently and manage regional operations remotely.
Customer-focused, results-oriented, and self-motivated professional.
Proficiency in English and French preferred; Arabic is an advantage.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
