The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building strong client relationships across both the agricultural and environmental sectors. The role requires a proactive, strategic, and results-driven professional who can translate market needs into viable business opportunities and support the company's growth objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth & Strategy
Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in agriculture, landscaping, environmental services, sustainability projects, and government tenders.
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and market expansion targets.
Assess market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in environmental and agricultural sectors.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, private clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events to promote the company's services.
Proposals & Tendering
Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, bids, and tender submissions.
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) to compile accurate and competitive submissions.
Ensure timely delivery of all proposal documents and support negotiation of contract terms.
Cross-Department Coordination
Work closely with technical, environmental, and agricultural teams to understand service capabilities and develop tailored solutions for clients.
Provide inputs for project scoping, pricing strategies, and resource planning.
Revenue Management
Prepare sales forecasts, progress reports, and business performance analyses.
Track KPIs, pipeline updates, and achievement of targets.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in business development, preferably in environmental services, agriculture, landscaping, sustainability, or construction sectors.
Strong understanding of government tendering processes in the UAE (advantage).
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and building client networks.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong market research and strategic planning capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and proposal preparation.
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently.
