Job Purpose We are eager to appoint a commercial and ambitious Business Development Lead to work as part of our Growth team in pursuit of our continued Middle East expansion. Reporting to the CRO, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery against KPIs for our outbound channel- working assigned verticals to engage prospects to aid us in ensuring we consistently identify and land new opportunities aligned to our product set. This is a top of funnel hunter and nurturer role, taking opportunities as far as expression of interest. You will help create and execute against an outreach and engagement plan for your assigned verticals that enables not only identification and nurture of opportunities, but also to have a more targeted and more successful reach than any other competitor into the total addressable client market. You will also have a key role in feeding back market trends and observations to help inform the wider Growth plan and approaches in a dynamic way. Our aim is to move from third to first place in Europe by mid 2023, and first in our sector globally by 2024. Team & Career Growth This role has the potential to scale & develop with the post holder as accountability will only be limited by capability and desire to grow. It is possible to develop into a Business Development Manager role – taking on full funnel capability – as you prove yourself in the BD Lead role. Key high-level accountabilities include:
  • Uncover new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, outreaches and engagement
  • Develop and execute segment led outbound strategies, using our existing suite of exceptionally strong market position and client list
  • Creating and executing against an outreach and engagement plan for your assigned verticals that enables identification and nurture of opportunities
  • Providing specialist advice on the products and/or services you’re selling
  • Act as an active external ambassador for the Customer Company into HR & TA communities.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A natural people person – with the charisma and integrity to build meaningful depth of relationships with prospects
  • Seasoned sales professional with a hunter mentality
  • Skilled at generating your own leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and driving your territory/verticals.
  • Tenacious. Our nurture cycle can sometimes be on the longer side, so you have to be willing to work prospects until the client has a need.
  • First class time management skills. Business Development Leads enjoy a great sense of autonomy. In order to be successful, you must organize and balance your activities appropriately
  • Minimum 3 years of experience driving growth through digital acquisition channels targeting scale-ups and SMEs, preferably in the TA tech or TA solutions spaces
  • Demonstrable experience in utilising and improving upon data-led sales strategies & using CRM analytics tools
  • Proven track record of increasing client acquisition rates, building prospect engagement and meeting/exceeding goals
  • Self-starter with ability to execute under deadlines
  • Previous experience in working in a rapidly scaling business would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients
  • Highly collaborative – little room in a growing company for ‘lone wolves’ and in this role ability to work closely with all kinds of client stakeholders, team members and peers across the company will be key
