The Business Development Executive (BDE) is often the first point of contact a new potential client will have with a business when they are seeking information on the products and services the company provides. The BDE also responds to RFP\xe2\x80\x99s and develops sales.
Key Accountabilities: (the main results the job holder is accountable for delivering)
Client Management and Operations:
Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
Plan and oversee new sales initiatives.
Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Find and develop new clients and improve sales.
Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Develop quotes and proposals for the clients.
Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
Collaborate with the team members to achieve better results.
Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
Meeting Planning and organization
Work closely with other colleagues to organize assignments and coordinate workflow.
Coordinate client meeting logistics including meeting locations, case study and meeting preparations.
Manage calendar through Outlook & Excel data base, in alignment with priorities.
