JOB DESCRIPTION Business Development Executive Section/Department: Administration Purpose and Scope of the Job Under limited supervision of direct reporting authority, enhancing quantity and quality of the services (ensuring brand recognition, financial growth and sustainability).Establishing a solid and effective business model and relationships with internal and external partners, regulatory agencies and administrative officials. Addressing service efficiency matters and profitability of services. Guiding departmental heads, managers or supervisors to accomplish differentiation and uniqueness in the services provided with respect to the market competition. Development and implementation of new services, technological improvements and innovations, and identifying new business opportunities, in alignment with vision, mission and values of the hospital. Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards
  • Develops annual and longer term goals and services that are aligned with the organizational strategic plan to growth business.
  • Prepare forecasts and quarterly summaries. Review of generated statistical and audit reports, analysis & interpretation.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, oversees the processes in the organization, and activities to meet the respective plans in coordination with the team.
  • Develops business case studies for new projects and initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with other organizations.
  • Serves as liaison with the other hospital departments, establishing and maintaining effective communication regarding services, policies and new service requirements and feedbacks. Develops and implement programs to facilitate internal and external communication, marketing strategies, plans, materials and campaigns related to the organization.
  • Conducts internal and external consultation within the Hospital as it\'s relating to development operations
  • Evaluates response and acceptance to new policies and procedures and adapts accordingly to support the overall business.
  • Identifies and manages the risks associated with the organization.
  • Participates in organizational teams and committees where relevant and as needed
  • Organizes and participates in professional development programs and seminars and other educational opportunities to stay abreast of trends and innovative approaches in services development and staff development.
  • Reviews data on the utilization rates and ensures proper resource allocation.
  • Review and approval of the subordinates job descriptions by self or assignment of a designate.
  • Monitors healthcare market responses and clients feedback; use the data to identify gaps (business opportunities).
  • Manpower planning, identification, proper allocation and development of resources.
  • Budget development and accountability, planning, goal setting and achievement.
  • Negotiate contract terms and communicate with stakeholders
  • Implementation of existing policies.
  • Facilitation of cultural change and Conduct ongoing market research
  • Ensures staff are trained based on identified training needs and measures outcomes / objectives met. Pays careful attention to staff potential and facilitates career path.
  • Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
  • Provides or promotes people centered care.
  • Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
Qualifications, Competencies and Skills Education: Bachelor in Business Development/ Business Administration (or Equivalent) Preferred: Masters in Business Development/ Business Administration Experience: Min 3-5 years on an executive position in one of the business development dept. (required to include people management experience) Language: High proficiency English and Arabic. Computer Proficiency: Good computer skills. Microsoft office: Word, Excel and Power Point and Hospital operating systems. Performance Competencies
