An opportunity for a seasoned business analyst to build a career with Canonical and drive the success of the business. The Commercial Systems group design, develop, and operate services for millions of Ubuntu machines all over the world, associated with both free and paid operations. These services live at the intersection of open source capabilities (kernel live patching, distro package updates) and business SAAS (contract and subscription management, selective service delivery). These are real-time services which integrate deeply with public clouds and the OS to ensure a consistent Ubuntu experience in every environment. Developing these systems requires deep understanding of financial reporting and sales processes, as well as technical operating system requirements. It is crucial to integrate seamlessly with stakeholder business processes. You will enjoy this role if you would like to be at the center of business and open source, connecting all the dots, and be the catalyst of cooperation between engineering and business teams. If successful, you will work with a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators who ensure that business operations teams have the right data at a hand and the right business processes in place. You will also work with software engineers developing a data lake, automating business processes, and integrating a number of software systems used across Canonical, ensuring that the right data flows in the right direction. We are looking for a business analyst with a background in software engineering, who has the drive, energy, and skills to ensure seamless business processes leveraging the power of software engineering.
