Bus Driver (with 5 years experience)

Position Summary

The Bus Driver is responsible for operating company buses to safely transport employees, workers, and clients to and from project locations as per the contracting company's schedules and client requirements. The role includes performing vehicle inspections, following transport guidelines, and ensuring safe and efficient service delivery in compliance with company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation & Operations

Safely operate buses according to assigned routes, project schedules, and client requirements. Transport workers, staff, and visitors to project sites, camps, or client facilities. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is in proper operating condition. Report any mechanical issues, damages, or incidents immediately to the Transport Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the bus at all times.

2. Compliance & Documentation

Follow all company safety policies, client HSE rules, and transportation regulations. Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, fuel usage, and inspection checklists. Ensure compliance with contract-specific transportation standards and timelines. Attend mandatory safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.

3. Passenger Safety & Service

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transport. Enforce safety protocols such as seatbelt use and boarding procedures. Provide assistance to passengers when needed (e.g., loading equipment, supporting new workers). Communicate professionally with passengers and supervisors.

4. Emergency Readiness

Follow emergency procedures in case of breakdowns, accidents, or hazardous conditions. Immediately notify supervisors and follow proper reporting protocols. Ensure emergency equipment on the bus (first aid kit, fire extinguisher, etc.) is present and functional.

Qualifications

Valid Heavy Vehicle / Bus Driver License . Minimum 5 years of bus or heavy vehicle driving experience . Clean driving record with no major violations. Knowledge of project locations, routes, and safe driving practices.
