The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of company facilities. This role addresses electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues while supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service issues.
Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and systems as needed.
Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and records of work performed.
Assist in facility renovations, installations, or upgrades.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects.
Follow standard operating procedures and company policies in all maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred.
Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities support roles.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical systems.
Ability to operate tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment safely.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
