Job Description

As a Bookkeeping Officer, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our financial records and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial systems. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, assisting with budget preparation, and supporting the finance team in various tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain all financial records for IIQAF, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, taxes, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure correct coding and recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the annual audit process and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Stay up-to-date with current accounting practices and industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Islamic financing principles is a plus.
