As a Bookkeeping Officer, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our financial records and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial systems. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, assisting with budget preparation, and supporting the finance team in various tasks.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all financial records for IIQAF, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, taxes, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on a timely basis.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure correct coding and recording of financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Assist with the annual audit process and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Stay up-to-date with current accounting practices and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Islamic financing principles is a plus.
