Job Description

: Boiler Operator / Mechanical Engineer (5 Years Experience) in Chemical Manufacturing

Roles & Responsibilities:

Process Equipment Handling:

Operate and maintain equipment in distilleries, including distillation columns, heat exchangers, re-boilers, condensers, cooling towers, fermenters, mixers, scrubbers, digesters, evaporators, pumps, storage tanks, air blowers, compressors, valves, and flow meters. Manage equipment in Water Treatment Plants, including reverse osmosis systems, filters, high-pressure pumps, exchangers, degasser towers, compressors, valves, and chemical storage tanks. Handle various utilities such as alcohols, fuels, process water, chemicals (NaOH, HCl, etc.), and pH control agents.

Boiler & Steam System Operation:

Operate and maintain AFBC boilers, Travel Grate boilers, and oil-fired boilers. Manage steam turbines with PLC & DCS, ensuring smooth startup and emergency shutdown procedures. Troubleshoot and overhaul boilers to maintain operational efficiency. Maintain boiler water and condensate parameters according to operational standards.

Plant Operations & Maintenance:

Assist in day-to-day plant operations, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability. Monitor and maintain Reverse Osmosis (RO) and MBR plants to meet operational requirements.

Technical Exposure:

Extensive experience with AFBC boilers, Travel Grate boilers, and oil-fired boilers. Proficient in PLC & DCS systems for steam turbine and boiler operations. Experience in troubleshooting, overhauling boilers, and maintaining water quality in boilers and Reverse Osmosis systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in boiler operations and maintenance in chemical manufacturing. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, process equipment, and water treatment technologies. Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
