Ensure the safe movement of boats and safe journey for guests. Keep the boats in clean tidy condition for operations. Assist in boat upkeep to ensure all components and in working order. A To be an expert in the entire aspects of sailing with exceptional navigation skills A Excellent knowledge in Auto Pilot navigation systems, UAE Coast Guard Safety Rules and Regulations A Ensure boats are in good condition for operations and to make boats neat and tidy A Maintain and knowledge to use safety equipmentaEUR(TM)s such as fire extinguisher, range markers, boat fenders, lines, pumps, fittings, lifejackets, life rafts, flares, VHF etc. A Report any observed navigational hazards to Senior Boat Operator / Mechanic A Make sure the safety accessories inside the boat such as life buoy, fire extinguishers, life jackets etc. are in good condition and report immediately if found any faults A Follow safety procedures to ensure the protection of passengers, cargo and vessels A Ensure all the required refreshments are available in the boats before start of the journey A Towing of boats of Marinas Customers both with planned tows and to assist with emergency tows A Make sure to provide detailed trip details on daily basis A Attend morning briefings and meetings which are required A Maximize on financial saving and promote revenue generation through correct marina management on an operational level (do not waste company consumables, repair instead of replace wherever possible, promote incremental spend in house, save resources. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE a~ Vessel license of DMCA & FTA upto 24meter or previous experience around vessels and marinas a~ Valid STCW Certficates a~ Valid VHF Training Certificate a~ Minimum 5 years or more experience as Boat Operator a~ Fluent in English written and spoken, a~ Must be a strong swimmer a~ Must be flexible to work in various shifts a~ Must be ready to work on-call during the holidays / day offs etc. a~ Prior marina/yachting/boating/ knowledge and skillset is required, a~ Must not have any medical conditions which may cause added risk while working near water (epilepsy, narcolepsy, fainting etc.), a~ Strong interpersonal skill and outgoing upbeat attitude, a~ Must be able to work in hot high UV climates and environment, a~ Can respond to emergencies in calm controlled manner, a~ Strong training/learning skills, a~ Strong teammate skills and prior experience in large teams required. a~ Beneficial but not essential: multilingual Arabic, Technical knowledge of marinas Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED4,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month Application Question(s):
