Job Summary

The BMS Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Building Management System to ensure efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, fire alarm interface, and other building systems. The role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, safety, and comfort within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) on a daily basis Control and supervise HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, lighting, and other integrated systems Continuously monitor alarms, faults, and system alerts and take immediate corrective action Coordinate with maintenance technicians for troubleshooting and rectification of system issues Ensure proper functioning of sensors, controllers, actuators, and field devices Maintain system parameters as per design and operational requirements Record, analyze, and report system performance data and trends Ensure energy-efficient operation of building systems and suggest improvements Assist in testing, commissioning, and calibration of BMS-controlled equipment Maintain logs, reports, and documentation related to BMS operations Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and contractors when required Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client requirements Support emergency situations by managing system controls and shutdowns when necessary
Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering Minimum

2 years

experience in BMS operations (depending on project requirements) Good knowledge of HVAC systems and building services Familiarity with BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls, etc.) Basic understanding of networking, controllers, and field devices Ability to read drawings, control schematics, and system layouts Basic computer skills (MS Office, system reports) Good communication and coordination skills
Working Conditions

Shift-based duty, including nights and weekends if required Work may involve control rooms and site inspections Exposure to plant rooms and operational facilities
