Job Description
Absolute pools being the pioneers in swimming pool business through out the globe with the manufacturing facility located in UAE has a wide vision to explore the global market to its fullest. Hence, we are expanding and to bring more diversity to our design team, our Umm al Quwain division is looking for a BIM Modeler, to join us. As BIM Modeler you will provide project teams with 2D and 3D drafting and modelling support. You must have experience in Revit modelling which can be across multiple disciplines. This position requires proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks and BIM 360. You must have an experience working on CAD and BIM Modelling ideally with a renowned firm. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Support Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day 2D and 3D drafting and modelling activities for Structural and MEP discipline.
- Develop 3D/2D dimensional models required for Civil and MEP drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation aligned with the project LOD requirements and modelling standards.
- Extract 3D models for clash analysis and schedule review.
- Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.
- Ensure all Models, drawings and deliverables are checked to comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
- Prepare the engineering/ Shop drawings from the model that comprises of basic arrangements, layouts, details, sections etc.
- Create Revit families and Perform Clash checks.
- Must be competent in Revit3D Modelling.
- Must be familiar with Steel and Concrete Structure modelling including MEP.
- Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modelling, etc.).
- Understanding of BIM Template and processes, BIM Standards and workflow.
- Use of Common Data Environment for information exchange.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
- Working experience in the gulf region in particular the UAE and KSA would be an advantage.
- Need to join immediate.
- Essentials: (Revit Structure, Architecture, Navisworks, BIM 360 & AutoCAD).
- Preferable: (Sketchup).
- Umm al-Quwain City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
