to join our project team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in 3D modeling of steel structures, coordination with engineering and fabrication teams, and preparation of detailed shop and fabrication drawings using BIM tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate
3D BIM models for steel structures
including frames, trusses, platforms, staircases, handrails, and miscellaneous steel
Prepare
shop drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication drawings
as per project specifications
Coordinate with
Structural engineers, architects, MEP, and site teams
to resolve clashes and design issues
Perform
clash detection and model coordination
using Navisworks or similar tools
Update BIM models based on
design changes, RFIs, and site feedback
Ensure models comply with
project standards, client requirements, and international codes
Support quantity take-offs and material schedules from BIM models
Maintain organized BIM files and documentation as per company BIM standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or relevant field
3-7 years of experience
as a BIM Modeller in
steel structure projects
Strong proficiency in
Tekla Structures
(mandatory)
Working knowledge of
AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit (added advantage)
Good understanding of
steel fabrication and erection processes
Familiarity with
AISC, BS, ASTM, or relevant international standards
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
Strong coordination and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
Experience in
industrial buildings, warehouses, plants, and high-rise steel structures
GCC / KSA project experience is an added advantage
Experience working with
fabrication shops and site erection teams
