Job Description

:

We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our Design and Planning team in the UAE. The BIM Manager shall be responsible for all aspects of Information Management and delivery on the project, authoring the BIM Execution Plan in collaboration with the Discipline Leads, Spatial/GIS Lead, Project Information Coordinators, and Project Drafting Leads, ensuring all project staff adhere to processes set out in the execution plan.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop, Implement, and administer the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are in alignment with the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Administer the BIM Execution Plan and agreement contained within.
  • Issue directions on Information Management (BIM/DE) related issues in consultation with the Design Manager.
  • Setting up of project specific templates.
  • Establish a BIM/DE Coordination programme.
  • Monitor progress of the Information Management (BIM/DE) outputs.
  • QA data integrity within the Information Management (BIM/DE) required outputs.
  • Federated model management and QA. Creator/issuer of clash detection reports. (Where a project is complex enough to involve both an Information Manager and Information Coordinator, then this responsibility will be delegated to the BIM Coordinator. The BIM Manager will be responsible for the reviewing and issuing of reports and monitoring progress).
  • Attend design coordination meetings.
  • Engage with all staff as necessary to implement BIM/Digital Engineering delivery across the project.
  • Reviewer of actions associated with changes recorded in the Design Coordination and BIM/DE Coordination meetings to be resolved.
  • Identify and agree any co-located or shared technical infrastructure needs, software package interoperability requirements and standards to be used by each team member to deliver the project.
  • Undertake BIM coordination workshops both internally and externally.
To be qualified for this position, you should have:
  • Expert understanding of Information Management (BIM/DE)including:
  • ISO19650
  • Asset Classification Systems - UniClass/OmniClass
  • 3D, 4D, 4D & 5D.
  • Common Data Environments (CDE).
  • Software Application Interoperability.
  • Information Exchange Requirements.
  • Contractual Requirements.
  • Experience writing BIM Execution Plans, Task Information Delivery Plans, and collating Master Information Delivery Plans.
  • Experience with OpenBIM deliverables
  • Understanding of Model Checking QA via appropriate collaboration software and tools.
  • Understanding of delivery applications interoperability with analytical and engineering applications.
  • High level of understanding with technical design coordination.
  • Excellent Information Management (BIM/DE) skills
  • Strong mentoring, collaboration and culture ethos promoting teamwork and inclusion.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of general design principals.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Excellent coordination skills.
