Job Overview

We seek a skilled

BIM Engineer (Architect)

to support the design and coordination of architectural models using industry-standard BIM platforms (ACC). The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, Structural engineers, the client, and consultants to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated BIM models that comply with project and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

A. BIM Modeling and Documentation

1. Develop and manage detailed 3D architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.

2. Generate accurate drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules from BIM models.

3. Maintain consistency and quality in modeling in alignment with project BIM protocols.

B. BIM 360 / ACC Collaboration

1. Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 for model sharing, version control, mark-ups, and coordination.

2. Coordinate BIM data exchange between architecture, structure, MEP, and interior teams.

3. Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar BIM coordination tools.

C. Technical and Design Support

1. Assist the architectural team with accurate detailing and design documentation.

2. Ensure models and outputs meet construction feasibility, material accuracy, and project-specific detailing.

3. Support site teams by providing model-based references, shop drawing validation, and clarifications.

D. Coordination and Meetings

1. Attend design and coordination meetings to represent the architectural BIM scope.

2. Collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with design intent.

3. Track and report model changes, interface issues, and resolution timelines.

E. Standards and Quality Assurance

1. Ensure BIM models adhere to international standards (e.g., ISO 19650, BS/PAS 1192) and company-specific BIM Execution Plans.

2. Implement QA/QC processes for BIM deliverables throughout the project life cycle.

3. Maintain clear model naming, data structuring, and file management protocols.

F. Client and Consultant Engagement

1. Assist in presenting BIM models and visual outputs to clients and stakeholders.

2. Document client feedback and integrate changes into models in collaboration with the design team.

Qualifications & Skills

G. Education:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.

H. Experience:

3-5 years of experience in architectural BIM modeling. Prior exposure to luxury villas or hospitality projects is highly desirable. Experience with Maldives-based projects will be considered a strong advantage.

I. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in BIM 360 / ACC and Autodesk Revit is mandatory. Working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Dynamo. Understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation. Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and BS/PAS 1192.

J. Soft Skills:

Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple deadlines.
