EBIKES Mechanic

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Ability to supervise and schedule EBike Mechanics accordingly and respectfully Assembly and inspection of new bikes before adding them to the fleet management system. Repair and servicing of bikes to the highest of standards as expected by BIYIY. Diagnose required services, fault find and service BIYIY e-bikes to enable them to return to the rider in a safe and fully operational condition. Perform inspections on available fleet and returns to ensure no cosmetic damage, all electronics components, and other essential components are fully functioning. Ensure that the workshop is kept tidy and in tip-top shape. Promote our values when interacting with BIYIY riders and suppliers. Assemble new bikes and perform quality control checks Ability to match customers with the bike, equipment, and accessories that best fit their physical needs and ability levels Repair bikes to the highest of standards, including assessing damage and estimating repairs (from complete overhauls to quick walk-in repairs) Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on bicycles (e.g., cleaning, changing tires, making adjustments). Keep a detailed service log and input all maintenance documentation on software for tracking and inventory management Respond to customer requests for assistance or repairs. Maintain proper maintenance inventory and supplies. Ability to diagnose bike issues and recommend additional parts & labor when necessary Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality. Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace Ability to train staff on bike repairs
REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge of how bikes are assembled and repaired, cleaned Familiarity with all types of bikes and bike accessories 2+ years of work experience with ELECTRIC bicycles (electric only) Experience with assembly and maintenance of electric components of a bike Bike Shop experience (3 years or equivalent) Passion for the Bike industry Friendly and sociable Thorough knowledge of bicycle maintenance, problem-solving, and industry trends Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills including basic computer skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to details Have a proven history of being reliable and hardworking Ability to work independently as well as part of the team Knowledge of Lightspeed POS a plus Experience with electric bikes is mandatory Valid UAE driver's license Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance. Organized and on time Focused hard worker Experience with e-bikes or lithium-ion batteries Problem-solving ability
