A Snapshot of Your Day

As Bid Engineer, you will be providing technical advice to the Service Sales team in Middle East from opportunity development to order entry. You will also be responsible to develop customized service plans and offerings for our Steam Turbines & Generators portfolio in Oil & Gas, Mining, Industrial and Power Generation sectors.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals including cost calculation for Steam Turbines & Generators related Services.
• Analyze and evaluate project related specifications.
• Create and develop scopes of work and related projects schedules.
• Request offers from sub-suppliers to support your project needs.
• Engage and collaborate with other departments within Siemens Energy to create further customer value.
• Carefully evaluate project risks and identify mitigation measures ahead of time.
• Conduct presentations and participate in negotiations with customers.
• Diligently hand over successful project agreements to Project Management supporting a smooth project implementation.

What You Bring

• Degree in mechanical engineering, energy/process engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in the field of turbine/power plant/plant technology or simlar and sound technical knowledge in rotating equipment.
• Experience in complex tender complilation / preparation.
• A methodical and a strategic thinker, with high level of attention to detail and focus on technical differentiation and value selling.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Posses a strong passion and proven success in achieving profitable business growth.
• Have a good understanding of the Oil & Gas and industrial markets in the Middle East.
• Are a team player who can influence and collaborate with multiple external and internal stakeholders.
• Willing to travel on international business trips
